Description: Discover the beauty and joy of creating with tissue paper. In this two hour workshop, we’ll experiment with tissue paper and watercolor to create abstract or representational collages. We’ll play with layers and patterns to watch different colors develop and peek though, we’ll explore which materials and methods work best to vary the value and intensity of our colors, and we’ll learn techniques for developing designs with our tissue papers.
This event is BYOB. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while crafting. We have glasses available, no need to bring disposables.
When: Friday, 10/30, 6:30-8:30pm
Skills taught: You’ll learn how about collage composition, how to work with tissue paper, and how to develop different colors and patterns using watercolor paints with tissue paper.
Skills needed: None! All you need is the desire to create in community and to have a fun evening.
Supplies used: All will be provided and will include tissue paper, cutting utensils, glue, paper, pens, pencils, paints, brushes, and markers.
What you’ll leave with: You will leave at least one complete tissue paper collage of your own composition.
