Fabric Collage with Funhouse Studio, Wednesday 9/9

Description: Come learn how to make your very own collage using scrap fabric in this beginner-level and eco-friendly workshop! In this laid back two-hour class we will use quilting cotton remnants to design and assemble a composition that can be framed or hung on your wall.

This event is BYOB. Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while crafting. We have glasses available, no need to bring disposables.

When: Wednesday, 9/9, 6:30-8:30pm

Skills taught: You will learn the basics of designing a composition, and how to arrange and paste fabric using Mod Podge.

Skills needed: None! Just a desire to create in community and have a fun night.

Supplies used: All supplies will be provided by Funhouse Studio and CraftNation and will include heavyweight media paper, Mod Podge, foam brushes, scrap fabric, fabric scissors, and glue sticks. 

What you’ll leave with: Each student will leave with a piece of art that can be framed or hung on their wall

Meet your teacher: Sharon Hillman (she/her) is a textile artist, designer, and illustrator living in Philadelphia. She makes one-of-a-kind upcycled clothing and accessories that are gender and size-inclusive.
