Description: In this two-hour class we will learn how to make our own decorative appliqué patch that can be attached to a garment, bag, or hat using a whipstitch. We will layer scrap fabric and sew it by hand and then back it with stabilizer to finish it off. Walk away with a fun piece of flair that you created!
Feel free to bring your favorite beverage to enjoy while crafting. We have glasses available, no need to bring disposables.
When: Thursday, 10/1 6:30-8:30pm
Skills taught: You will learn hand-stitching, adhering fusible interfacing, whipstitching so you can continue making your own patches well after the workshop!
Skills needed: This is a great workshop for beginners! No prior skills required, just an eagerness to learn!
Supplies used: All supplies will be provided by Funhouse Studio & CraftNation and will include fabric, thread, and iron-on interfacing.
What you’ll leave with: An appliqué patch that you designed!
